KerberRose is currently hiring a Accountant/Bookkeeper who will support our small business clients by processing monthly accounting, year-end close procedures, reconciling financial data and will interact with clients regularly.
Responsibilities:
Maintains customer satisfaction and retention through accurate and efficient customer service
Interfaces with other peers and superiors to support actions and initiatives which improve client retention.
Customer interaction – participates in client meetings via phone and in person when necessary. Demonstrates effective business communication skills, both verbally and in writing, to facilitate high service value with clients.
Strategic thinking – probes, gathers and analyzes client data pertaining to general ledger reporting, related services and day-to-day operations for assigned clients.
Provides customer-focused interaction with clients via phone, email and in person.
Communicates effectively and accurately with internal teammates and external clients.
Performs in-house and on-site bookkeeping for clients
Daily Duties:
Monthly bank reconciliations
Bookkeeping adjustments and journal entries
Preparation of year-end Trial Balance
Review and verify source documents
Investigate and correct payroll discrepancies and errors
Analysis of monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and verification of accuracy to assure reconciliation to supporting documentation
Preparation of Federal and State filings and payments including sales tax, withholding tax, income tax, etc.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
QuickBooks experience preferred, but not required
Prior experience in Public Accounting preferred, but not required
