Role Overview:

Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, the Center for Aquaculture Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support financial accuracy and transparency in our operations. You will be integral to the finance team, focusing on month-end processes, variance analyses, audit support, and continuous improvement of our systems and controls.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Execute timely month-end processes including journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare accurate month-end accruals and support account variance analysis.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in compliance with company policies.
  • Assist with annual audits and quarterly reviews in accordance with public company requirements.
  • Identify and contribute to the improvement of systems, processes, and internal controls.
  • Support purchasing, manage accounts payable/receivable, and work with sales to ensure timely collections.
  • Monitor open purchase orders and liaise with requestors for updates as part of pre-close activities.


Qualifications We Value on Your Resume:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • At least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the US.

Working Conditions:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Full-time, on site (must have reliable transportation)

  • Starting base salary of $70,000 to $80,000
