Accountant

Mozaic.io is seeking a park time detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting practices, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
  
  

Account Reconciliation:

• Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and other general ledger accounts
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies and variances
  
  

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

• Process vendor invoices and employee expense reports
• Monitor and follow up on accounts receivable to ensure timely payment
  
  

General Ledger:

• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by accurately recording transactions and allocating expenses
• Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes
  
  

Tax Compliance:

• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations
• Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors during audits
  
  

Financial Analysis:

• Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement
• Prepare reports and presentations for management
  
  

Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains
• Propose and implement enhancements to financial processes and procedures
  
  

Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies
• Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations
  
  

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Finance, Operations, and Human Resources
• Provide accounting support and guidance to other departments as needed
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in accounting or a similar role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) qualification
