General Summary of Position:


The Staff Accountant is a member of the Finance Team and reports to the Controller. The ideal candidate is thorough, team-oriented, organized, has strong analytical skills, and excellent oral and written communication. The position will analyze our revenue deals to ensure compliance with company objectives and requirements, validate employee commissions, submit partner invoices for payment, perform accounting activities and interact with customers, vendors and personnel to address issues and questions.


Key responsibilities:


  • Review sales and commission documents to ensure they meet policy guidelines, are accurate and payment requirements are known and met 
  • Review and qualify commissions payments using SalesForce and our ERP system (Odoo)
  • Train new sales representatives on their commission dashboard in our web based tool - Commissionly
  • Process partner reimbursements and deductions according to the sales documents, check requests and W-9 forms
  • Communicate with sales representatives to answer questions on their individual commission amounts
  • Prepare journal entries and accounting reconciliations of key general ledger accounts
  • Provide reporting, analytics and metrics to management as needed
  • Be a key driver in the enhancement and automation of our sales and commission processes

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred; BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.
  • 1 years Accounting experience including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general accounting 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • QuickBooks, Odoo, Salesforce, Commissionly and Concur experience is a plus
