A family office located in lower Fairfield County is looking to hire an Accountant as an addition to staff. The person will be responsible for handling day-to-day accounting operations along with directing one staff member. The company has sustained for over 30 years now and had plans of expanding on funds. An ideal candidate will have 3+ years working out of a financial services firm and has worked with accounting systems. The compensation is above market, the bonuses are generous and the culture is tight-knit.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and distribute daily and monthly performance reports
Coordinate time processing of daily data from several banking institutions and fund admins in a variety of delivery methods
Reconcile and maintain reporting of transaction activity
Perform frequent internal reconciliations
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Assist with budgeting and cash flow projects
Requirements:
BS in Accounting of related discipline
4+ years of alternative asset/trust/partnership accounting
Strong Excel skills
Experience working with APX, Solovis, or Backstop preferred
Detail oriented
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
