Account Supervisor

Stratacomm seeks a well-rounded, self-motivated Account Supervisor – Public Affairs to join its dynamic team. This opportunity is for a passionate communications professional with at least five years of experience working on multifaceted programs and campaigns.


About You

The Account Supervisor role requires an excellent communicator who can supervise multiple programs and manage various projects simultaneously. You have a solid background in public affairs and, ideally, have worked in an agency setting and/or have experience supporting a government communications or advocacy campaign or experience working with government officials and stakeholders. You thrive in creative, collaborative, fast-paced environments and have diverse experience in strategic communications and events. Having worn many hats in previous roles, you’re an expert problem-solver who can handle client emergencies, pitch reporters, and contribute to stakeholder engagement plans all in a day’s work.

This role is remote, however will require on-site support for events and client work in the Washington, DC, region. Candidates in the Washington, DC, region are preferred but not required.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support senior team members with developing and executing integrated communication campaigns, including public affairs, stakeholder engagement, media relations, digital presence, and events.
  • Manage planning for client events, including in-person engagements, stakeholder roundtables, and virtual webinars. Support will include maintaining detailed task trackers, coordinating with speakers, developing presentations, managing webinar platforms, managing venue/vendor and travel logistics, coordinating event registration and documenting attendee feedback, supporting materials development, providing on-site staffing, and developing wrap-up reports. Experience coordinating webinars or working in WebEx is a plus.
  • Manage the upkeep and hygiene of the stakeholder database. Experience working in MailChimp, HubSpot, Salesforce or another CRM is highly preferred.
  • Develop written communications to support clients, such as stakeholder emails, talking points, briefing packets, blog posts, website copy, event invitations, e-newsletters, fact sheets, social media copy, press releases, and media pitches.
  • Demonstrate ability to understand and distill complex topics into compelling messages for target audiences, as well as the ability to extract insights and summarize data.
  • Ability to create, track, schedule and monitor timelines for multiple client projects. Experience working in Asana is a plus.
  • Plan and manage executive visibility opportunities on behalf of client accounts, including identifying relevant third-party partner organizations, tracking conference and speaking opportunities, and brainstorming other collaboration opportunities.
  • Assist account leads with financial management for clients, including updating budget trackers and drafting client updates and monthly activity reports.
  • Maintain significant contact with clients and build understanding and knowledge of clients’ business.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five years of experience in client services for a PR, public affairs or advertising agency, supporting political or advocacy campaigns or working with government officials and stakeholders.
  • Highly organized team player with effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to independently initiate drafts of a wide range of communication materials.
  • Experience organizing events logistics. Experience in an official or campaign environment supporting events that feature government officials and stakeholders is a plus but not required.
  • Creative thinking and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Strong desire and ability to contribute to the firm’s growth, marketing and business development.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Proficiency in webinar platforms, such as WebEx or Zoom meetings, is a plus.
  • Previous experience working on energy-related topics is a plus.
  • Ability to travel approximately six times annually required.
