Position


ACCOUNT MANAGER


Job Description


  • The Account Manager leads the selling, communication, and strategic development of USPN’s contract manufacturing services of wet pet food. This position leads the day-to-day relationship between each customer, USPN, and our manufacturing facilities in Thailand (ITC). Your customers will be the national brand owners, some will be within the world’s largest pet food brands, as well as the Private Label brand owners, some will be among the world's largest retailers.
  • The Account Manager will work closely with a cross functional team of project managers, marketing coordinators, R&D, production, logistics, demand planning, and compliance to provide the world-class comprehensive solution of wet pet food contract manufacturing services.
  • The Account Manager will assist the Head of Sales & Marketing in crafting the overall account strategy and lead the annual planning for assigned customers. The Account Manager will also lead all innovation sell-in and communication of activities to ensure achievement of ITC and USPN business goals.



Duties And Responsibilities


  • Deliver against annual dollar and volume targets
  • Develop and implement annual and future years Account Plans and initiatives for each customer, aligning customer and ITC/USPN growth goals and opportunities, prioritizing accounts based on overall opportunities
  • Develop strong relationships within each customer, connecting ITC/USPN effectively into the customers’ sourcing, operations, demand planning, and senior management teams
  • Develop, sell-in, and communicate programming plans, assortment reviews, innovation opportunities and customer-specific initiatives that support the overall Account plans
  • Lead the communication process across a cross-functional team, which includes project managers, marketing coordinators, R&D, production, logistics, demand planning, and compliance
  • Work closely with project management team to ensure detailed execution of customer initiatives
  • Lead opportunity and risk assessment process throughout the year to ensure course correction as needed to reach or exceed the annual target; Deliver on all monthly dollar and volume target requirements


Qualifications And Experience Required


  • Undergraduate Degree in a related field Required. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Experience required calling on regional or national account customers, preferably in CPG.
  • Self-motivated, strategic, goal oriented, with a passion for winning
  • Strong communication and influencing skills internally and externally
  • Fact-based selling skills are critical; equally critical are business analytics, financial analysis, and pricing analysis skills to identify trends and opportunities within the wet pet food market.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, negotiation, time management, fiscal management and presentation skills required
  • Position will require some travel for in-person customer meetings, training, and to trade shows
  • Position will require regular meetings during the work hours in Thailand (nighttime in USA)
  • Understanding of sales analytics with IRI or Nielsen experience preferred
  • Experience working in the FMCG/CPG consumable industries preferred
