Location: Remote

Travel (%): ~35%

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Vice President, Commercialization, the Account Manager will build, maintain and expand relationships within assigned accounts, while identifying and executing upon new opportunities for account entrance and penetration via prospecting.

The Account Manager is a self-motivated results-oriented individual that works with current and prospective clients to ensure customer satisfaction and continued sales growth year over year and drives awareness of MEDIcept at regional functions. This role is for an experienced professional familiar with medical device quality, regulatory and clinical requirements; and with the skills necessary to navigate accounts, identify client needs, communicate these to regulatory, clinical, and quality subject matter experts, and propose solutions an communicate their value to clients.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use knowledge, experience, judgment, and discretion to advance grow business within assigned accounts.
  • Analyze potential opportunities. Execute sales plans, monitoring actions and results against plans, and course-correcting as appropriate.
  • Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key technical, hiring and procurement decision-makers within accounts and other regional decision-makers and influencers.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of customer and partner organizations.
  • Actively prospect and leverage potential new business opportunities within assigned accounts.
  • Develop and maintain product knowledge of all the Company service offerings for appropriate cross-sell opportunities.
  • Continually advance understanding of account needs, as well as partnership opportunities and competitive threats, providing feedback to Leadership Team to keep business competitive.
  • Proactively communicate within the organization, advocating both for your accounts and for MEDIcept, to qualify opportunities, align on problems and solutions, and support on-time delivery of services.
  • Conduct contract, business, and operational discussions within various levels of the client organization, including technical, HR and procurement.
  • Pursue business opportunities through calls, emails, client meetings and industry events.
  • Continuous and on-time updating of Lead, Account, and Opportunity information in Salesforce.
  • Prepares estimates, presentations, service agreements, and other contractual elements.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction by communicating regularly with customers.
  • Promote the Company service offerings at accounts, trade, and industry events.
  • Maintain high visibility within customer organizations and/or territories.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • A strong understanding of and direct experience in medical device regulatory, clinical and/or quality services.
  • Strong understanding of medical device development required.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and formal presentation skills appropriate for communicating with client audiences ranging from Engineers through CEO.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within the medical device industry, AND at least one year’s experience leading or training other sales personnel, AND at least 3 years’ combined experience in:
  1. regulatory, clinical, and/or quality role(s) as an employee of, or a consultant to, one or more medical device companies,
  2. selling a portfolio of Quality, Regulatory, or Clinical services in the Medical Device Industry to Procurement professionals


Preference will be given to candidates with:

  • Experience selling services to Quality, Regulatory, and Clinical Services leaders in the Medical Device Industry
  • Previous sales experience with another medical device compliance consulting firm, Contract Research Organization, or Notified Body.
  • Strong understanding of medical device development requirements.
  • Advanced competency with Microsoft products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Competency with Salesforce
