Account Manager

Overall Responsibilities:

The Account Manager is an integral part of the business unit supporting daily client management activities, as well as sales/inventory analytics and demand planning for JMC’s clients. The Account Manager must be proactive and efficient in problem solving & multi-tasking all duties, while ensuring a high level of organization and effective communication both internally and externally.


Core Responsibilities:

-Expert in Retailer and JMC systems to provide world-class support and execution for internal and external partners.

-Must be willing and eager to dig in and learn retailer systems newer to JMC portfolio, become expert and train team members as applicable.

-General knowledge of retailer’s requirements and processes to provide guidance to vendor partner (e.g., EDI, shipping, packaging, responsible sourcing, factory registrations and audits, marketing/promo efforts)

-Act as liaison across internal team, vendor/manufacturer partners, and Retailer providing consistent communication on all business updates.

-Manage program milestones and communicate with vendors and retailers, while addressing issues and finding solutions.

-Create and maintain program forecasts and make proactive recommendations to vendor partner and retailers leveraging sales trends and using relevant KPIs. 

-Monitor inventory levels to ensure KPIs are achieved.

-Anticipate, identify & communicate inventory risks and opportunities- develop mitigation & action plans.

-Manage and track client purchase orders.

-Provide data & analytics for ongoing sales & inventory reporting, retailer line reviews, workshops & year-end performance reviews.

-Communicate business opportunities or concerns by providing actionable insights.

-Utilize internal and retailer analytics tools to drive the business.

-Take ownership of strategic projects and provide category analytics leveraging market/industry data tools as needed.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in business, retail merchandising, marketing, or supply chain)
  • 3+ years of retail work experience or supporting a retailer and/or manufacturer
  • Advanced experience with MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to thrive independently and do what it takes to get projects and tasks done

Preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience using a retail analytics platform
