Collinwood is assisting our client, a well-known and trusted chemical manufacturing company in their efforts to hire an Account Manager to work remotely in the United States.

Within this position, you will drive high performance with your strong track record of building strategic customer relationships and opportunities to closure, as well as leading and owning total customer experience while exceeding growth initiatives. The account manager will have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced enterprise with team focus and a high level of communication across a matrix environment.

What You Will Be Doing:

Account Management :

  • Build and maintain customer relationships within assigned territory, serving as their primary point of contact.
  • Nurture and maintain existing customer relationships to drive high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Consistently engage with customers to understand their needs, and desired outcomes, and identify aligned strategies to create a positive impact and propose executable solutions.
  • Serve as lead for all customer issues, drive resolution, and provide clear communication to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Establish a strong rapport and strengthen trust with customers to become a reliable and long-term strategic partner.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure seamless customer experiences.

Account Planning & Execution :

  • Create a strategy and develop, manage, and execute sales realization for assigned accounts.
  • Develop an understanding of the account's current and future needs, create account plans to effectively align with customers' strategies to identify mutual and establish actionable next steps.
  • Identify and prioritize growth opportunities within assigned territory.
  • Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers and identify influences with multi-level connections across the organization.
  • Prepare call reports, forecasts, and quarterly presentations for current or new business activity, new products, and other relevant marketing or competitive information.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to accurately forecast future sales within the territory.

Territory Growth Initiatives for New Business:

  • Identify and target potential clients within the designated territory to expand our customer base.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to generate new leads, prospects, and business opportunities.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth in the territory.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to implement effective lead-generation campaigns.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell additional products or services to existing clients.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue within existing accounts.

Customer Success: Price Management, Forecasting & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Align with organizational initiatives to maximize Customer value through systematic adoption, education, and execution, in an incredibly fast-paced, exciting, and constantly changing environment.
  • Maintain and communicate customer forecasting and ordering needs aligning with the companys Supply Chain, Demand Planning, and Plant Operations to ensure proper inventory planning and production schedules.
  • Maintain customer pricing file and communication on contract and market adjustments +/-.
  • Manage spot business/rush offers as needed.
  • Monitor pricing strategies and adjust them as needed to remain competitive while maximizing profitability.
  • Negotiate pricing agreements with clients, considering volume discounts and long-term contracts.
  • Continual engagement and communication with internal stakeholders including Supply Chain, Technical and Regulatory, Legal and Finance, and Business Units to create a timely 'best' solution for the customer extracting maximum value.
  • Continuous engagement of Customer Care, Shipping, and Operational Logistics to ensure the company is meeting customer needs and requirements.

What We Need From You:

  • Required Education: bachelor's degree (chemistry, chemical engineering, business administration, marketing).
  • Preferred Education: master's degree (chemistry, chemical engineering, business administration, marketing
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in sales with proven success and consistent track record
  • Experience selling surfactants & other related chemistry, preferably Personal Care and HI&I.
  • Proven track record of successfully building rapport and relationships with all levels.
  • Chemical Distribution or Manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • A consummate professional with a strong commercial understanding acting with integrity and confidentiality.
  • Superior communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
  • Strong relationship-selling, negotiation, and critical-thinking capabilities
  • Driven, agile, organized, and entrepreneurial self-starter.
  • Approachable, team-player mentality
  • Order to Cash experience (PO to invoice), ERP expertise, and an understanding of integrated technologies.
  • Ability to balance day-to-day project execution and long-term customer initiatives within a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to get into the weeds and solve problems independently.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills.
  • CRM Experience is required preferably Salesforce.
  • Excellent capabilities and strong experience using Office 365 suite and Team Collaboration software tools.
