Account Executive

We are seeking an ambitious, self-driven Account Executive to join our team in building long-term, trusting relationships with new and existing customers. The Account Executive’s role is to develop new business from existing clients and actively pursue new sales opportunities. This fully remote position allows you to work from anywhere in the US or Canada, with the freedom to manage your own schedule.


Ours is a fast sales cycle (2-6 weeks) with an average annual customer spend of $12k and little to no legal/compliance barriers to the sale. The typical decision-maker is a small marketing team or the owner of the firm. Almost all our sales are based on referrals and organic inbound traffic, but we are starting to expand our outbound sales as well.


Key Responsibilities:

- Inbound Sales Management: Respond to inbound inquiries (5-8 new leads per week currently coming in) by setting up sales calls and converting interest into action.

- Outbound Sales: Craft and implement innovative sales strategies to attract new clients, ensuring a steady pipeline of potential business.

- Webinar Engagement: Follow up with webinar participants to maintain their interest and convert them into clients, ensuring that they receive the necessary information and attention.

- Lead Sales Calls: Lead engaging and persuasive sales calls with prospective clients, understanding their needs and presenting tailored solutions.

- Client Satisfaction: Stay in touch with clients post-sale to ensure their continued satisfaction and help them get the most out of our services.

- Upselling: Proactively identify and pitch additional services to our current roster of approximately 80 active clients.

- Client Re-engagement: Reconnect with former clients, reignite their interest in our services and rebuild those relationships.

- Lead Prospecting: Use LinkedIn and Apollo for thorough prospecting and research, identifying high-potential leads and setting the stage for future sales.


Requirements:

- Experienced SDR or Account Executive with a proven track record in leading calls and booking appointments

- Self-driven and comfortable working in a remote environment

- Ideally has experience in closing smaller deals

- Preferred experience in a marketing agency and/or podcasting industry


Compensation:

- On-target earnings (OTE) of $80,000/year

- This is a 1099 contract role

The Podcast Consultant is a small but growing podcast production company, specializing in serving clients within the financial industry. We work with some of the biggest and best-known finance podcasts like Invest Like the Best, The Meb Faber Show, and Capital Allocators as well as other popular shows like Peter Attia’s The Drive and several popular video podcasts like Ark Invest and World of DaaS.


We help our clients plan, launch, produce, and promote their podcasts using a team of 20+ audio/video engineers and producers based mostly in the US and Canada. In this sales role, you’ll work directly with the CEO, Karl Hughes, an experienced agency entrepreneur and founder.
