Account Executive
Synapse Medical Communications LLC is a privately held company based in New York City that is a best-in-class organization dedicated to the design and execution of creative and compelling medical communications initiatives. Guided by unique strategic insight, medical acumen, innovation, and client service, Synapse specializes in a broad range of health care marketing and communication services.
The Account Executive’s primary purpose is to work closely with the Account and Medical Affairs staff and other internal team members to execute product marketing messages in various forms such as symposia, advisory boards, and other medical communications programs and activities.
Responsibilities:
- Act as an integral team player by exhibiting a strong competence level in the execution of all aspects of the account
- Have a basic understanding of the science and therapeutic category and applies that knowledge to the work
- They have client contact and is responsive to client needs
- Responsible for accurate and organized project files and assists in the development of tactical plans for new business opportunities which includes research of background information such as competitive landscape and Key Opinion Leader (KOL) involvement
- Develop estimates and project briefs and review project materials to ensure client directions are followed and marketing messages are met; will schedule and attend project-specific meetings and weekly status meetings.
- Interact with all areas of the company to coordinate and manage all aspects of the account, especially the Editorial, Creative and Operations departments
- They work closely with management to gain a greater understanding of the business and develop his/her skills
- Responsible for presenting deliverables to the client
- Externally, they attend scientific and industry meetings to support senior team members, assists senior staff in support of existing programs, and provides support for the solicitation of new business leads
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Communications, Marketing/Advertising or other related field.
- Two plus years of experience in a medical communications and/or pharmaceutical advertising agency.
- Project management experience and be able to demonstrate a firm understanding of the medical education program life cycle from conception through implementation.
- Experience in promotional medical education (advisory boards, KOL advocacy development and speaker training, field driven medical education, non-personal promotions).
