Your Role With Us

The advancement and delivery of top-notch, effective healthcare education is at the heart of what we do! Your enthusiasm for contributing to an innovative program and patient-centered learning culture will be employed to generate and deliver classroom and clinical skills instruction within basic medical and clinical science topics.

The residency is a 12-month academic program and does not guarantee future employment with RMU. This residency is allocated to be a 0.10 - 0.20 FTE position.

Core Functions

  • Complete the Learning Design in Healthcare Education Graduate Certificate during the yearlong appointment.
  • Participate in service activities as a supervisor for RMU students in service clinics affiliated with the PA program
  • Design original or review and modify existing curricula as appropriate to correlate with established or new course and program outcomes and implement curricula in harmony with the educational approach of the program through active course direction and instruction as assigned by the Director of Didactic Education (DDE) or faculty mentor.
  • In collaboration with full-time faculty, assist in mentoring, instructing, and evaluating students, which includes but is not limited to standardized patient cases, course content delivery, instruction in the classroom, skills activities, and assessment analysis.
  • Help as needed for scheduling student service in affiliated service sites

Background/Expertise

  • A graduate-level degree as a Physician Assistant is required. Doctorate preferred.
  • Clinically practicing Physician Assistant with current NCCPA certification.
  • Current licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of Utah.
