Anderson County School System is seeking an Academic Coach for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year for the elementary schools. The Academic Coach provides support for curriculum standards and Anderson County instructional practices in all subjects.
In order to ensure vertical alignment and continuity of the program of study for all students, the Academic coach will collaborate with other curriculum coordinators and then provide support through co-planning, co-teaching, lesson studies, modeling researched based instructional strategies, reviewing student assessments, data analysis, and engaging classroom teachers in reflective practices.
With the school administration, the Academic coach will help develop detailed professional growth plans for individual teachers.
This is a certified position.
Job Qualifications
A valid teacher license, masters degree preferred.
The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent verbal and presentation skills.
Interpersonal skills, emphasizing persuasiveness and consensus building.
Minimum of professional licensure and tenure, and/or five years of teaching experience.
