TITLE: ACADEMIC ADVISOR (PART-TIME) Campus Resource Center

II. BASIC FUNCTION: Assist in advising student athletes and other specialized populations. Assist with campus wide early-alert system

III. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assist in the development of schedules for student athletes and other specialized populations. Collaborate with other team members in case management duties and tracking of student success initiatives. Assist with Student Success Workshops including tracking and evaluation processes. Work closely with other divisions like Career Services, Student Access Services, and Tutoring & Financial Aid. Works as a team member of the Campus Resource Center. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.

Minimum Qualifications

Education/Training: Bachelor's degree.

Experience: Experience in academic advisement, higher education, customer service or related field.

Skills: Detail oriented, good technical skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in Guidance and Counseling, Education, Student Services, or related discipline. Experience in community college setting. Demonstrated experience working with students and/or academic advisement.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Light lifting up to 10 lbs. and light carrying up to 10 lbs. required. Ability to reach above shoulder. Periods of time spent sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending and stooping.

An unofficial degree conferring transcripts must be received by this office for formal consideration; however, should an offer of employment be extended, official transcripts are required.
