The Academic Advisor provides high-quality academic advising to School of Architecture students in a variety of majors and supports faculty advising at the school. The Advisor maintains regular contact with students and other advisors using multiple communication platforms. An essential part of the role is helping the Academics team to comprehensively monitor student academic success and enrollment information.
Advising at the School of Architecture (TuSA) is led by the Associate Director for Student Success and supported by a team of student success mentors, faculty advisors, Newcomb Tulane College Advisors (for undergraduates), and the Academic Advisor. The Academic Advisor’s responsibilities include first year advising, study abroad advising, graduation advising, transfer credit advising, spring scholar advising. In addition to advising meetings with students, the Academic Advisor collects and verifies advising information to ensure accurate course projections and enrollment information and verify degree audits.
