OPPORTUNITY STATEMENT
Marlborough School is seeking a dedicated and passionate 7/8 Girls Tennis Coach to lead and develop our 7th/8th Grade girls' tennis team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tennis, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive team environment. The 7/8 Girls Tennis Coach will be responsible for coaching, mentoring, and developing the skills of student-athletes, as well as promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and a love for the game. This Part-time, Seasonal position reports directly to the Athletic Director and the Tennis Program Head

Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and conduct practice sessions to develop athletes' skills, techniques, and overall performance.
- Teach the fundamentals of Tennis, including rules, strategies, and sportsmanship.
- Assess the abilities and potential of student-athletes, providing individualized coaching and feedback.
- Develop game strategies and coordinate with the Program Head to ensure cohesive program development.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes during practices, matches, and travel.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive team culture.
- Manage team logistics, including scheduling practices, matches, and transportation.
- Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, school administration, and other stakeholders.
- Promote academic success and good character among student-athletes.
- Adhere to all school policies, athletic department guidelines, and league regulations.
- Bachelor's Degree
- Previous coaching experience in Tennis at the high school or club level.
- Strong knowledge of the game of Tennis, including rules, techniques, and strategies.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor student-athletes.
- Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive team environment.
- CPR and First Aid certification Required.
- Must pass a background check.
- Practices and matches may take place outside in various weather conditions.
- Flexible schedule required, including evenings and weekends.
$25.00 to $40.00 per hour
