Barrett Petfood is a family owned and operated Super Premium pet food manufacturer who cares about each individual they employ. We are currently hiring for a3rd Shift Production Supervisor. This position will be responsible for overseeing the production of pet food manufacturing and sanitation of the plant during the shift. Come and work for a company like no other!
Summary
TheProduction Supervisor will oversee the production to ensure efficiency and quality in the area of operation in a co-manufacturing setting.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Serves as the point of contact for work direction and issue resolution during 2nd shift
Organizes, trains, directs, and oversees production employees
Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
Provides guidance to team members to address immediate staff issues
Responsibilities:
Collaborates with other supervisors on duty to coordinate operation in and among departments in the facility
Regularly reports to the Production Manager and Director of Operations to collect, evaluate, analyze, and assess operation
Regularly inspects and evaluates products for quality
Identifies and corrects problems and inefficiencies in process, materials, equipment, or skills
Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices including those related to safety and health
Develops and implements procedures and strategies to ensure a safe work environment
Continuously looks for process improvement and best practices
Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Must have 3-5 years supervisory experience and proven leadership skills
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
Thorough understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, cost management, and other effective manufacturing and distribution techniques
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the factory
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on computers
Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times
