3rd Shift Mechanical Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance B Technician to join our team! This position will maintain and adjust mechanical equipment. This position will also obtain materials from stock as required to complete assigned work. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and aptitude. The desired candidate will also have experience with equipment maintenance.

This is a full-time, union-hourly position located in Lancaster, PA. Hours are Sunday, 9:30 PM - 5 AM; Monday-Thursday, 6:30 PM - 5 AM; two Saturdays per month, 6:30 PM - 12:30 AM.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Makes minor repairs to mechanical equipment and machinery such as; changing belts and pulleys, replacing bearings, rebuilding of pumps, etc. Performing the necessary repairs involves the use of hand tools. Also makes minor adjustments to insure proper operation of the equipment
• Assists in the installation and repair of electrical equipment as required
• Builds non-complexed jigs and fixtures
• Maintains buildings and structures in repair
• Installs and repairs piping systems such as water, steam, hydraulics, and compressed air. Uses plumber tools and equipment to perform required work
  
  

Qualifications/Requirements

• H.S. Diploma and 2-4 years of formal trades training
• Proficient in blueprint reading
• Experience using a variety of precision measuring instruments
• Basic computer skills
• Valid PA driver’s license
