Reporting to the Plant Manager, the 2nd Shift Supervisor is an important role and is ideal for someone who likes a fast paced work environment where they can make an impact on the operation on a daily basis. The pay for this position will depend on experience.
Responsibilities
Manage and train all new production employees on 2nd shift (Monday to Thursday, 4:30pm-3am, and Friday/Saturday as needed).
Responsible for retention and development of employees
Continuously improve production processes
Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and operational
Ensure the consistent execution of all SOP’s throughout the plant
Maintain safety and quality standards including ISO 9001:2015 standards
Responsible for achieving production goals for volume and quality
Maintain loading times for outbound shipments
Must be able to effectively communicate with all departments within the company
Job Requirements
Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role, preferably in a steel service center.
Strong Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal Required
Strong customer focus
Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
