Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Working Lead Department: Shipping and Receiving Reports to: Logistics Manager Job Summary: This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Shipping and Receiving department during the evening shifts, along with managing inventory control during those times. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Oversee the shipping and receiving department on 2nd and 3rd shift
Oversee all outbound loads to Oak State’s customers
Check outbound loads from production
Work with the department manager on job priorities
Update truck lines on pick up times
Coordinate work load with all shifts
Take bulk samples and oversee deliveries
load, and unload trucks as needed
Monitor raw and packaging materials for purchasing department
Oversee paperwork for inbound and outbound loads and make corrections as needed
Ability/willingness to learn to operate yard spotter for moving trailers within yard / docks.
All other duties as assigned
Meet all necessary overtime requirements including weekend
Flexibility on scheduling ( shift start/stop times)
Disciplined to work safely as well as scene of urgency Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Must be knowledgeable in GMPs and HACCP
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Must display a great attention to detail
Ability to perform basic mathematical skills
Ability to multi task is a must
Ability to stand and walk up to 80% of the time scheduled
Ability to climb and work at large heights
Must understand and follow all safety policies and procedures
Must be comfortable working on computer
Ability to take direction and insure assignments are completed. Job Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be 18 years of age
Previous supervisory or working lead experience preferred .
