Three Rivers Rowing Association (TRRA) is a community-based rowing and paddling organization that develops and delivers safe, sustainable, and inclusive programs and events that teach and promote the benefits of rowing and paddling to a diverse community. TRRA owns and operates two campuses on the Allegheny River just north of downtown Pittsburgh. The Washington’s Landing campus is located on Washington's Landing with the Millvale Campus & Training Center located on the adjacent river bank in the Borough of Millvale. TRRA is one of the largest community rowing organizations in the US. TRRA is embarking on a strategic planning process and over the next 12 months we will be laying the groundwork for the future of our organization in a post-pandemic world. A key part of this process is evaluating our current systems of revenue generation and community impact so that we can make informed decisions about our future. It is also imperative that we maintain a strong presence in the development and communications communities during this planning process. Our VISTA will work closely with our Executive Director and Development team to evaluate our current development and communications systems and establish enhanced systems to increase future reach and impact. This work will include identifying funding opportunities and grant writing, along with social media strategy, engagement and creativity. There will be opportunities for networking, creative portfolio building and various other leadership skills development. We are looking for a dynamic person who can communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences, can work independently and as part of a team, and has excellent writing, creativity, and time management skills. Rowing knowledge and experience is preferred but not required.
