Job Summary

Gulliver Prep’s Upper School Campus is seeking a Science faculty that has experience in a range of Physics courses to join the Science Department for the upcoming 2024-25 school year. Applicants must be able to develop and execute effective lesson plans that cover the curriculum, engage students’ interests in science and promote higher-order thinking. Additionally, the qualified individual must be able to set-up and administer laboratory experiments, develop original assessments, and collaborate with other teachers in the science department on a regular basis.

Applicants must be adept at keeping accurate records of student progress and communicating with students, parents, and counselors to discuss any concerns or issues. Attending ongoing professional development activities and staying abreast of current developments and discoveries in the science fields are also expectations for this position. Lastly, working knowledge of technology in the classroom and teaching in a block schedule expected.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Education or related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the subject matter.

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Physics or Education and State Certification in subject area.
  • IB and/or AP teaching experience, especially in the area of Physics.

Pre-Employment Requirements

Criminal Background Check, Level II Fingerprint Screening(s), and Drug screen.
