To facilitate instruction with hands-on, project-based learning in academic, recreational, and social-emotional skills development programming.
Core Competencies
All instructors must have knowledge of RUSD’s Math and Literacy concepts and processes. All instructors must have the ability to facilitate small group learning centers for math and literacy practice and social emotional learning.
Ability to run high quality, engaging programming using existing curriculum materials or developing your own initiatives.
Knowledge of computers and SMART board for use in instruction.
Good communication skills.
Ability to differentiate instruction to reach all students ability levels.
Ability to engage in positive behavior management.
Ability to adapt well and respond positively and resiliently to change in environment and/or job tasks and assignments
Ability to work well with others and/or with little or no direct supervision
Takes initiative, thinks critically, and uses deductive reasoning to address problems and issues
Essential Functions
Create a learning environment where students feel valued and eager to attend.
Provide differentiated instruction, with mixed-grade classrooms, using existing curriculum materials or developing your own initiatives.
Record daily attendance.
Attend all trainings and meetings as required.
Provide high-quality program facilitation

Safety
Employee is responsible for taking all steps necessary to protect yourself and others against occupational accidents, injuries, and illnesses. Employee is responsible for ensuring all work performed meets the highest industry standards and is done in compliance with all local, state and federal requirements.
Employee is responsible for knowing the school’s fire, tornado and lockdown procedures.
