1st Shift, QC Lab Technician (Chemical Plant) $18-20/hr DIRECT HIRE
Starting Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour depending on experience.
Schedule: 1st Shift is 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday - Friday.
Benefits: Full benefits available. This is a direct hire for Taylors SC (Not far from Greenville, Greer, or Travelers Rest)
Please Note: You MUST have valid DL, own reliable vehicle, and stable job history to be considered. A drug test and criminal background are required.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring all lab equipment has a current calibration status prior to use for inspecting, measuring or testing product
Ensuring finished product meets all specification requirements prior to being released to sales
Ensuring all Standard Test Methods, Standard Calibration Methods and other applicable procedures are followed as written
Labeling and filing all retains of intermediate and finished products
Recording data as described in SOP’s, STM’s, SCM’s
Abilities:
Must have up to 3+ years’ experience as a Quality Control Technician working in an industrial environment
Precision Weighing
Titrations
Viscosity Measurements using Viscometer
PH Testing
Specific Gravity using designated cup
Computer Knowledge (Microsoft Office)
Application Tests
Good Communication Skills
Knowledge of Instrumentation
General Math Skills
Requirements:
Excellent understanding of safety rules in an industrial setting
Must be able to cover 2nd or 3rd Shift if needed and available to work weekends if necessary
Reliable transportation to and from work
Team-oriented and an overall positive attitude
Drug free facility

Testing: Depending on the position you are interested in, there may be in-office testing related to math, tape measure skills, mechanical aptitude, and basic computer skills. If testing is required, the interview process may take up to an hour. We recommend that you come prepared to stay for 30 minutes to an hour.
