My role was to consult with the Chief Information Officer and senior Directors to provide an assessment and recommendations to improve PMO effectiveness. I used the Donabedian model of ensuring the correct structure and processes for assessing health care quality, to exam the outcomes we saw. The results included an acknowledgment of deep expertise in PM practices, but inconsistencies in applying the tools and reporting. In the end, the CIO was armed with the knowledge and a plan to initiate to improve the PMO function.

"Campbell is an active duty military officer and has moved out of day-to-day health IT operations, and into the forward-looking arena of futuristic health systems to improve the health and survivability of soldiers on the battlefield. His work in the military should have multiple opportunities to benefit the civilian healthcare structure and processes especially in the areas of trauma care, rural and population health. Top priorities right now include virtual health technologies, artificial intelligence applications in healthcare, robotics, and autonomous systems. Campbell is active in CHIME and HIMSS."
