I'm a creative and I think the ad is great. They incorporated an extremely popular type of video and were able to trigger an emotional response. Why is this good? Because you will remember it. Hydraulic presses crushing things gets a lot of views on YouTube and they turned it into a memorable advertisement. We packed all of this into the thinnest form factor yet! There is a lot of eye candy as things explode. The objects are meaningful, which creates an uneasy feeling, (emotion = remembered). They reinforce that feeling with the foam emoji ball right at the end 😳 When you're working on your next project, how can you trigger an emotion to help people remember it? It doesn't have to be an advertisement. You can use this for presentations or to help sell your idea.

The elusive paper bottle The quest for a paper bottle that doesn’t leak or spoil isn’t over. But heavyweights like Diageo, Pernod Ricard, and Procter & Gamble are closer than ever to making it possible. And it’s about more than sustainability. It’s a shrewd marketing play designed to cut through the clutter on store shelves and capture the wallets of eco-conscious consumers. According to this article in the WSJ, Carlsberg’s research suggests paper bottles could attract more female drinkers and upscale venues, while L’Oréal sees them enhancing the appeal of their hand creams with unique embossing. Still, the journey to a fully functional paper bottle is fraught with challenges. The need for internal plastic barriers complicates recycling and raises questions about genuine sustainability. 🚀 Authenticity is statistically the most critical attribute for a brand. It builds trust and fosters customer loyalty. The problem is that many times, creating an authentic connection can take time. It requires deeper understanding, empathy, and the ability to view people as an end in themselves rather than a means to an end. So, if authenticity is so important to consumers, why are we striving so vigorously to replace it with efficiency? 🤔 The next time you are tempted to ask how quickly a task can be completed or how efficiently something can be created, remember that the consumer cares a whole lot more about an authentic outcome than efficient one.
