ACSA’s top priority is advocating for public school students in kindergarten through grade 12, as well as adult learners. Our mission is to be the driving force of education in California and beyond. Administrators in California had long talked of forming an umbrella organization that encompassed their varied professional functions. Formed in July, 1971, ACSA became the first operative united administrator organization in the nation. Since ACSA’s inception, administrator associations in 39 states have moved toward some form of consolidated or umbrella organization. ACSA is the only association in the nation that encompasses the broad spectrum of the management/leadership team. The Nominating Panel is comprised of two educators appointed by the Committee on Accreditation and two educators appointed by the Commission. Each entity will appoint one college or university member and one elementary or secondary school member to the Nominating Panel. The terms of Nominating Panel members are four years. Members of the Panel may not serve more than one term.

The Member Council plays a crucial role in the California Charter Schools Association. This body of charter leaders represents the voice of the members to CCSA's Board and staff. They facilitate open discussion of issues facing the movement and strive to provide leadership and guidance in their regions and to CCSA.

Lions meet the needs of local communities and the world. The 1.35 million members of our volunteer organization in 206 countries and geographic areas are different in many ways, but share a core belief – community is what we make it.

Two-Way CABE (now ATDLE) was founded in 2003 by a group of California's most experienced and talented Two-Way Bilingual Immersion educators. The organization is led by a talented Board of Directors, composed of experienced TWBI educators and administrators from throughout California. The Board meets quarterly to facilitate the progress of the organization. Two-Way CABE hosts the National TWBI Conference each summer and has done so since 1992. Show less
