Developing yourself as a leader is a long, difficult and lonely process. I’ve done it. I found that it is easier if you have a guide and a group of peers that can help. They have been there before. They can help you understand the decisions you need to make, and their consequences. At their best, they embody hundreds of years of experience which can be brought to bear on the things that bother you late into the night. Or, you can make all the mistakes yourself.

If you want to avoid the latter, I can help. I am a Chair for Vistage, the largest and most successful CEO peer advisory organization in the world. I serve as mentor, moderator and coach for a select group of high performing CEOs in disparate industries, working on their common problems.     Youth on Course (YOC) is a non-profit which provides access to golf, internships, and college scholarships for young men and women who are otherwise unlikely to get them. It is a national partner with The First Tee. I was a Board member from 2009 to 2018, and served as Chairman and President from 2013-2017. During my tenure, YOC expanded from its Northern California base to include 25 states from coast to coast serving 30,000 young men and women. I stepped down as Chair at the end of 2017…
