You’re managing a marketing project. How do you keep it from going off the rails?
At the end of the day, treating a marketing project for what it is - a project - is most vital. It is, therefore, important to (a) set up strategic goals, and the ideal outcome (b) put together a plan (c) gather a team that has the skills to execute; If you have skill gaps vs the plan, ensure it is plugged early (d) execute to the plan and track it carefully In most cases, keeping a close tab on progress, communicating in a timely manner, driving updates from stakeholders, and ensuring everyone understands roles and expectations will keep the project on track.

How can you make your product proposals irresistible to stakeholders?
One thing that is important through all this is compassionate and crisp communication. 1:1 conversations with the stakeholders to understand their needs and perspectives goes a long way in winning their trust and ultimately their vote of confidence for your product. This setting helps you assimilate not just what they want but why. In turn, this allows you to rationalize and define a better MVP that everyone is happy with.

What are the main drivers of buyer loyalty and switching costs in your market?
A good example of supplier power is the recent semiconductor shortage. As the demand for semiconductor solutions grew during the pandemic, there was a shortage of capacity in the fabs that manufacturing chips. This, in turn, resulted in the prices going up in the semiconductor value chain driven by the manufacturers and suppliers.
