Prioritizing tasks is an essential part of getting things done. By structuring your day and tackling the most important items first, you'll be able to accomplish more in less time. EQ is the new IQ. As my daughter graduated from her MBA program at NYU last week, I found it very interesting that her business school put so much emphasis on emotional intelligence as a key part of their teaching. EQ (emotional quotient, also emotional intelligence) is the ability to recognize, understand, manage, and reason with emotions. To grow your EQ, focus on:  • Self-awareness of your emotions and how they influence your behavior and decision-making. • Self-regulation to manage and control your emotions, impulses, and reactions in a healthy and productive manner. • Empathy to recognize and understand the emotions and perspectives of others and to respond with compassion and sensitivity. • Social skills to interact effectively with others, communicate clearly, build relationships, and collaborate productively. • Motivation to achieve goals, overcome challenges, and find meaning and purpose in your work and personal life. The value of improving your EQ is essential, especially when magnifying your ability to influence a wide range of team members, from Gen Z to Boomers. 🎪Customer conferences- a literal hive of customer love and appreciation - if you are willing to grasp the opportunities! Some ideas: 👉Have a VIP area for your advocates to network, chill, collect swag and generally feel the love. Make it visible to generate curiosity from those not already in the program. 👉Designated keynote seating, preferably near the front row. Have an exec call them out in their section too 🙌🏻 👉Exclusive swag for advocacy program members. A very visual way for them to show off and for you to recruit new members who want to be a part of this cool group. One that I don’t mention on the video but I have seen executed very well on the past: 👉Event signage featuring advocates. A great way of celebrating your customers as people and a cool bragging opp. ‘Oh yeh, I know Jean, she is fabulous, flew all the way from XXX, she has a session today at XXX if you are interested??’ 💡Bonus operational tip from me: 👉It’s never too early to start talking to your events team about ways you can showcase customers during the event.
