Which smart home automation systems offer the most energy-saving features for architects?
Nice options! My question was too geeky. I was thinking more about the security or lack thereof given automation systems being vulnerable to attack. For example, some devices are vulnerable to attacks that can result in gaining access to the home network, including connected computers and other devices. Just turning up the maximum temperature in the summer or lowering the minimum in the winter could cause both discomfort and damage to the house. Yet, access to computers could be disasterous financially and for personal privacy and safety. With the highend homes that you design, you might want to research all home automation controls that are designed in, and caution the builder and owner and require sign off. 😨
