DAT Dry Van Load-2-Truck Ratio May 27 - June 2: ~Dry van load post volume was within 3% of last year following last week’s short work week. The w/w change in volume was also identical to last year at 8%. ~Carrier equipment posts were 24% lower than last year following last week’s 20% w/w decrease. ~Load-2-Truck ratio increased 14% w/w to 5.23. #freightmarket #supplychain #transportation #logistics #trucking

Toll by plate is a good option for commercial fleets with some of the following needs: 1. Low toll volume and desire to avoid violations 2. Vehicles that cannot have a transponder (including trailers and towed equipment) 3. Leased equipment providers who do not want the transponder deployment overhead 4. Interesting statistic related to the weight issue for heavy duty electric trucks. On average these truck tractors ar 6k to 8k greater than a diesel which translates into less payload and more trucks to carry the same amount of freight.

Safety should always be a top priority when it comes to operating any specific types of Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT). It does not matter if you are operating Crown, Hyster, Raymond or other manufactured brand PIT. A rule I would also encourage is not to have a complacent mindset when operating these trucks. Complacency mindsets ultimately leads to safety risks and consequentially incidents.
