Who you’ve been should not define who you're meant to be. We all carry past regrets, but the person you are today has no ties to who you once were. There are no obligations to stay the same. If you want to change, you have the power within you to become who you need to be - for your family, community, business, and yourself. Some may feel it's too late or too hard to change. But EVERY SINGLE PERSON has greatness within them. It's a choice whether to embrace it. The journey is tough, but nothing worthwhile comes easy. Lean into the process and evolve into the person you're meant to be.

Got some tips for my recruiter friends out there. 1. Learn the acronyms for the job your recruiting. I just had a recruiter ask me to update my resume because he didn't see Oracle EBS on there. My resume has over 15 years or Oracle E-Business Suite experience all over the last few positions, and yes, EBS is on my resume as well, as in "Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)" 2. My android phone does an initial screening of calls it doesn't recognize, whether I want it to or not. It doesn't ring my phone until you answer some basic questions like "Who are you? and What do you want?" I will pick up if you just tell Google why you're calling. Why do you feel the need to email me and tell me that you tried to call me and to please call you back?

For those who are following my progress, I finished the Certified Technical Architect program. Completed week 9 thru 12. Also, this morning, I defended/finished my Capstone Review. Thank goodness this is nearly over. Key dates - started January 24th was the kickoff and I defended May 13th - 110 days. We covered the following: ✅ Week 9 - Integration Leading Practices, Plarform Data and Integrations, and Integration Protocols and IntegrationHub ✅ Week 10 - Design and Optimize Intelligent Workflows, Process Automation Designer, and Citizen Developer ✅ Week 11 - Testing Leading Practices, Performance Optimization, and Go-Live Preparation ✅ Week 12 - Presentation Skills Refresh and The Power of Slides ✅ Capstone Review - 2 presentations with a Certified Master Architect and a Certified Technical Architect. The last 4 to 6 weeks was more difficult than I would like to admit. My wife, manager, mentors, freinds, and the Impact squad helped me get across the finish line. Without a great support crew, I would have failed for sure. As part of my capstone, I created 2 final presentations to defend. It seemed like an impossible task to complete. The presentations were never good enough, I literally edited them until the final hours this morning. I changed strategies on how to present them at 2 AM. This experience was harder than any of my other professional certifications. Even though I am confident That I will pass….there is a little voice in the back of my head that says you can still fail one or both presentations…..you fail one, you get a chance to defend that one presentation and still pass within a resonable time. You fail both, you have to do it all over again….I will be dammed if I have to go through this experience again🤣🤣🤣 To my “NOW Alchemist” team good luck 🍀 defending this week! As stated by my colleagues this was hard as hell. I want to thank my Cohort for an excellent program. My delivery manager is awesome…I won’t name him unless I pass. 👍🏽 I learned a lot about ServiceNow and how awesome it is as an Enterprise Platform…it’s not just a tool. Also, I learned how to make exciting presentations….that will captivate audiences. In two weeks I should know if I passed 👍🏽or failed👎🏽 Wish me luck 🍀 More cool badges! #servicenow

I’ve had some amazing leaders in my career and in my life. I’ve also had leaders who use people as stepping stones to rise to what they believe is greatness. Servant leaders last. Servant leaders end up with teams who want to work with them, people who will go above and beyond because they trust their leader. Trust is earned and it wins over fear every single time. Servant leaders can also lead volunteers and collaborate well with other teams. Leadership is a privilege. Leading with honesty and integrity and yes I’ll say it…love, is not a “lost art”. It is not “old fashioned”, it is the golden rule for a reason. Imagine an entire company full of this kind of leader. What could be accomplished? This should be the priority of every CEO. Build into leaders who last, build into leaders who inspire, build into leaders who see people, who hear people, who fight for the greater good…..AND with laser-like precision cut the toxic leaders AND the toxic employees from the ranks. You CAN do more with less but you must choose your “less” carefully and strategically. #servantleaders #leadership #truesuccess
