Yesterday I spoke on the phone with Michael Costello - Territory Manager at Palo Alto Networks. Based out of Charleston. Palo Alto Networks is one of the companies I’m interested in as I look to break into the SaaS sales world. Michael is an expert in his field and puts an emphasis on understanding his products as well as keeping a keen awareness on the trends of his industry. He worked at LogRhythm for 4 years. BDR to Regional Sales Manager. He’s been at Palo Alto now for 3 years. Right now he’s excited about the trends of AI-inclusive in cybersecurity products and learning and growing within the fast growing cloud security sector. He’s also doing The Murph Challenge this Memorial Day 💪https://lnkd.in/eHPhM8_T Some things I learned from my call with Michael: 1. BANTC (Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline, Competition) 2. Find an organizational mechanism that works for you - post it notes, Excel etc. as long as you understand and can effectively communicate 3. Take control of the sales cycle 4. Know the next thing to do 5.
