Projects

  • Student Management and Communication System Implementation- School Loop

    -

Evaluated, selected and implemented a student management system. The system allows daily communication of grades to parents and students. Teachers have access to education teams as well as course and grade book data. We trained and supported each of the comprehensive high schools using a train the trainer model. Within a year middle school parents made their appeal to the school district to have School Loop in their schools. Since then, we've adopted School Loop across the district.

I had the opportunity to contribute as a pilot in a study conducted by NASA, focusing on the exploration of requirements for a new method of safely transporting people and cargo within densely populated urban areas. This endeavor involved addressing numerous technical and bureaucratic challenges, including aspects related to weather, noise, pollution, and safety, as well as legal, regulatory, and infrastructure considerations.

Supported by NASA Ames, I participated in a study with CSULB that was a virtual simulation aimed at evaluating the feasibility of Urban Air Mobility (UAM) concepts of operation. In the context of this study, I played a pivotal role in testing and refining the operational procedures for transitioning through controlled airspace using vehicles equipped with vertical take-off-and-landing (VTOL) capability. The quadcopter, which I operated, had the capacity to carry two to four passengers, thanks to its VTOL capabilities that enabled it to hover, take off, and land vertically. Additionally, the vehicle featured a four degrees of freedom vehicle model and was equipped with four rotor wings, controlled using a joystick and buttons.
