A team of students from Marshall School of Business together with stakeholders from CISO formed, including staff from CISO, CTU, CTO, IRB and CIC gathered for a Kaizen Retreat. The Kaizen involved, a thorough review of the current-state process for clinical trial activation; where root causes were identified, and different tools such as fishbone and SIPOC diagrams were utilized to provide a better picture of current processes.

Assessing the existing ERP to business applications while evaluating the performance gap analysis, and conducting a feasibility study for future growth and success.

USC Center for Global Supply Chain Management has undertaken a project involving cutting-edge research into the inefficiencies and waste causing port congestion and the use of evolving technologies in streamlining port operations. The Center has positioned itself with the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach as a model of innovative thought leadership in research and practice.

The MSGSCM students and faculty are working with the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach to address the carbon pollution problem in San Pedro Bay. The objective of the Center for GSCM is to conduct thought provoking statistical research on how to combat, measure and reduce the carbon footprint of supply chain trucking.

* Current industry and CBP needs and gaps
* Future game-changers which will impact industry and CBP
* How these factors should shape CBP process innovations and workforce training up until the year 2020.

USC Center for Global Supply Chain Management has set out on a DMADV project (DMADV = Define, Measure, Analyze, Design, Validate) aimed at establishing solutions for the twin ports at Los Angeles and Long Beach with the main goal to increase the overall efficiency and to achieve the systematic optimisation over the entire supply chain.

Research Professor directing a project improving the ports’ infrastructure and surrounding intermodal facilities in order to increase efficiency for operational processes and improve labor and environmental policies.

Assist in laying a GSCM foundation that allows for flexibility and scalability, increases awareness and adaptability through research modeling, and grows profitability while building a global brand.

Serving as Faculty Lead on project eliminating wasteful activities and reducing the frequency of stock-outs of two key products in UNFPA’s EAC operations: male condoms and injectable contraceptives.

Oversee development of a pre-feasibility study on African-based cross-border visibility/dashboard report on Collaborative Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment (CPFR).
