Since Hollywood probably isn't in my future, I'll take a job at a computer instead.

Projects

  • Book of Thoth Game

In January 2016, Will Merrill (Yale 2019) and I began work on the Book of Thoth, a puzzle game that has users write spells to get past enemies and find the Book of Thoth. My contributions have included the level system, the level editor, the playable tutorial, much of the user interface, the inventory system, several of the non-player characters, the rendering system, as well as some of the graphics. Most of the game is written in Java.

  • College Football Ratings

    -

I created a system that ranks college football teams based on which schools they’ve beaten and which schools they’ve lost to. The idea for the project was inspired by Netflix’s movie suggestion problem and has similarities to the Colley Matrix Rating system.

  • EECS 445 Machine Learning Projects

    -

I worked on two main projects for my Machine Learning class. One was a project that used SVMs to determine whether a review was positive, negative, or neutral (it had about 62% accuracy against test data). The other was a project that used neural networks to determine dog breeds in 32x32 images. These projects used the python libraries sci-kit-learn and tensorflow. GitLab pages are available upon request; I am not permitted to make it public.
