What are the most effective ways to handle visa and immigration issues during onboarding?
A clear roadmap and constant communication are essential. The immigration process is confusing and unpredictable. Candidates may think that the moment they get hired the visa process is automatic/easy. It’s important to set expectations from the get go and be available for questions that come up through the constantly changing and confusing process.

What is the best way to manage last-minute changes in event planning?
Remember hierarchy. What do I mean by that? Don't always cancel or reschedule meetings with staff who are "lower" than you in the hierarchy of the company. Otherwise, you will give off the impression that your time is more valuable. Your staff will be waiting to meet with you, setting aside time away from their tasks, unable to spend time getting their own tasks done. If you constantly show up late, last minute, cancel/reschedule, or move meetings then you are saying to them, I don't care that I am disrupting my day because I am more important than you.
