🎤 In case you missed it: If you haven't seen or read about THIS. . . >> There are many musicians, more of the older groups that are retired or do not plan on performing in the near future, that are making or planning hologram concert performances. In a nutshell, #Abba is one of the first to use this format. From what I read, they're actually singing their music in a studio (pre-recorded) so you're not listening to their 70's version -- but you'll be watching their concert as holograms on stage. #KISS is also another band looking to do this soon. At first, I was talking with a good friend, and I was a bit turned off by this idea, but he changed my mind. He said, "Our children or future generations will be able to experience an in-concert experience from the artists we grew up with". I have heard that the Abba Experience Hologram concert has improved even more since this 2022 YouTube video below. I can only imagine that AI and tech have grown by leaps and bounds since then so it's only going to get better. But, when does it end? At what point? This beautiful new picture book, illustrated by Alexandra Finkeldey, A Horse Called Now, about a wise and empathetic horse who helps calm its barnyard companions during a storm, is just out and the author, Ruth Doyle, wrote a lovely blog post for us about the origin of the story. Society likes to shape this narrative for women that we are restricted with time to fulfill our goals and bring value to the world. One woman in particular is encouraging women of all ages, that time is not our enemy but a gift. I had the pleasure of chatting with the fabulous Lisa Grain. During her very first interview, we discussed her personal values, embracing her “beauty marks,” her new venture after retirement, and more. Words alone are just words - but they can do wonders for you if you have the motivation to let them do so. And you don't necessarily need a special connection to a word's origins to include it in your list of motivational life quotes. Many people now know about "wabi-sabi," for example, but don't practice tea ceremony or Zen Buddhism - and, you know what, that's alright. Because there's just something at the heart of these pretty Japanese words like "wabi-sabi," "ikigai," and the very different "ikiai" (no g!) that somehow describe the important aspects of life as we're already living it, or paint us a picture of the life we want to lead. Read my article to find out some other useful phrases/life lessons found in Japanese archery, or "kyudo," that you could then apply to your own life.
