The Orange County Food Bank works to help bring healthy, and well proportioned foods to schools and children all around Orange County with help from volunteers. They also work to donate packages of food to local non-profit agencies that serve low-income individuals, elderly, and families. With the help of volunteers and donations, the Orange County Food Bank is able to change the lives of many!

Volunteered and participated at the first ever Meals on Wheels St. Patrick’s Day event in Yorba Linda! I assisted through event setup, working booths, bar tending, and collecting proceeds. I plan to volunteer at this event, and others like it again!

Each of the 366 Ronald McDonald House Charities around the world provide a place to stay for families whose child is being treated at local hospitals or medical facilities. As a fundraiser volunteer, I work to organize and promote fundraiser drives within my workplace and business park, like toy and food drives!

The Google Online Marketing Challenge (GOMC) is a worldwide competition in which over 120,000 students and professors from over 90 countries participate. Groups are given a $250 advertising budget in which they develop and run online campaigns through Google AdWords for a company of their choosing. The Google Online Marketing Challenge (GOMC) is a worldwide competition in which over 120,000 students and professors from over 90 countries participate. Groups are given a $250 advertising budget in which they develop and run online campaigns through Google AdWords for a company of their choosing. Groups had to determine aspects of the market and formulate ideas, such as: marketing strategies, target markets, competition, industry environment, competitive advantages, analyses, keywords, weekly and daily budgeting, and more! Through the use of Analytics and AdWords data, success of the campaigns and actions (clicks, impressions, etc.) were tracked, and then documented into a report. This assignment was reflective of situations and tasks that marketing majors would face in the real world. The overall goal of the project was to not only gain experience with Google AdWords and Analytics, but to learn effective marketing techniques and strategies, and how to build an online presence, increase brand awareness, and drive online traffic of a company with an emphasis on teamwork and group idea generation.

Marketing students that maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher are eligible for this program. The Marketing Honors Networking Program gives students the opportunity to meet and interview with a large amount of well-known firms. Companies that have participated in this program include, but are not limited to: Apple, Target Stores, Frito Lay, Enterprise Holdings, and many more.
