Sydney Sampson-Webb

The National Collegian of the Year award recognizes an individual for their contributions, achievements, partnership and personal character. The person chosen serves a two-year term on the national non-profit board of directors.

Amongst 11 Delta Sigma Pi Chapters and their respective brothers, I was chosen as the Great Lakes Regional Collegian of the Year (COY) in recognition of exemplary fraternal commitment, professional and academic achievement, and leadership and service with integrity.

My team and I took first place in the 2021 Lubar College of Business's M&I Marshall & Ilsley Center Business Ethics Case Competition. The 2021 Case analyzed the ethical responsibility of the Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) to handle racist and discriminatory slurs that were being chanted at their games. We made recommendations to the LAFC to improve DEI in their business and organizational practices. Lubar 25 is an annual program that recognizes 25 undergraduate students in the Lubar School of Business who stand out for their accomplishments in academics, entrepreneurship, leadership, or campus/community service.

Throughout high school, I held a cumulative 4.0 GPA and graduated as Valedictorian.

I was nominated as a Presidential Scholar at my high school and became one of the scholars for the state of Wisconsin.

I was chosen as my high school's DAR Good Citizen during my senior year. The award recognizes those "who possess the qualities of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism in their homes, schools, and communities."
