Spent two weeks in rural western Kenya at the schools that Achungo runs for nearly a thousand orphans and impoverished rural kids. An amazing trip to volunteer, teach, and talk with the kids, from age 3 to grade 8 in what has become one of the best schools in western Kenya.

Designed a new global disease mapping system for the UN's World Health Organization, based on their existing HealthMapper. New very sophisticated data-driven system was similar to Google Maps with layers, languages, metadata, etc. and designed to run in developing countries, especially in African disease surveys and management.
Project required extensive research into state-of-the-art mapping and global WHO epidemiology plus disease dynamics and management for AIDS, SARS…Designed a new global disease mapping system for the UN's World Health Organization, based on their existing HealthMapper.
