To grow your financial advisor practice, focus on your core functions and outsource investment management. This Morningstar article https://lnkd.in/ewrj-x6W makes a strong case (and one familiar to our LibertyFi, LLC partners) about how outsourcing can free up advisors' time. 💡I was struck by the story of Tractor Supply, one of the top-performing stocks of the past 20 years. While we all know and expect certain companies to be on this list (Amazon, Apple, etc.), Tractor Supply managed to thrive by focusing on its core business — selling products that meet the lifestyle needs of farmers and ranchers. The moral of the story: focus on what you know and outsource the rest. 💡Fidelity's research indicates that advisors who outsource investment management, can gain approximately nine extra hours per week. That has the potential to free up about an entire workweek every month. This leads to higher asset growth, increased revenue, and more new clients. This approach allows advisors to tailor their services to better meet client needs and stand out in a crowded market. 💡I love this point: “By tailoring services to meet the specific needs of clients and freeing up more time to be available to clients, advisors can differentiate themselves in a crowded market.” This article really emphasizes why I could not be more excited about what LibertyFi and Aptus Capital Advisors have going on and the way we are able to support advisors.

In honor of the 4th of July, in today's video insight I use ETF Action's platform to look at U.S. market share across U.S. listed #ETFs (safe to say home bias is alive and well here in the U.S.), the continued growth of U.S. market share in the iShares MSCI ACWI ETF (46% 10 years ago - 63% today), long-term annualized returns across total market country ETFs (U.S. leads by a large margin), and some factors driving these trends (technology allocations arguably the biggest factor). This weekend reading kicks off with a recent Cerulli Associates study found that advisory teams tend to have higher assets under management per advisor, serve wealthier clients on average, and have stronger growth than solo advisors, thanks in part to the efficiencies gained from sharing expertise and back-office support. Nevertheless, these findings could reflect self-selection amongst advisors, with those who don't want to grow past a certain satisfying income (happily and profitably) remaining as solos, and those seeking greater growth upside joining teams.
