What do you do if you want to design effective security awareness training programs using your creativity?
Know Thy Audience When developing a security awareness training the need to remember the receiver can not be overstated. Knowing your audience will help you build out material in a meaningful way. This is crucial as you determine what transformation you want the end user to walk away with. Consider personalizing it developing separate trainings for different teams, executives, HR, finance etc. keeping the end user at the center of your development will empower you with the best decisions about what to include, how to arrange it, language and tone. Ensuring the message resonates with the trainee and does not fall flat. To sum it up, always remember the receiver, focus on the goal, stick to the point and keep it short and sweet.

The best tools are internal. Be proactive and know your audience. Practice, and practice more until it feels natural. Take a deep breath and own the space but most importantly have fun, enjoy the opportunity to feed others and your energy will be magnetic.
