The aim of the project was to use cyber threat intelligence (CTI) data effectively for financial institutions. Our requirements were based on CTI derived from Open Source Intelligence (OSINT).
OSINT intelligence evaluated included collected from publicly available sources like newspapers, radio, television, conference speeches, reports etc. Like OSINT, CTI includes a wide variety information and sources: social networking sites, blogs, forums, chat rooms etc.
The objective was to combine CTI data with client-company's security alerts and check whether mitigation of cyber-attacks is successful or not.
We designed a solution based on client-company's integration of their existing collected CTI data include known malicious threat information, with multiple new real time sources. We evaluated several commercially available and open source security solutions.
Our final solution had to rationalize and correlate the numerous alerts against security breaches for analysts to take more effective action. We designed a complete architecture including workflow and rules engine to automate the triage and routing for the daily 75,000 attacks client-company faces.
Our targeted outputs of the project included:
- Stopping attacks against financial institutions using Cyber Threat Intelligence in an efficient way,
- Developing mechanism for Cyber Threat Intelligence infrastructure,
- Create sharing platform for Cyber Threat Intelligence data in finance sector.
Our presentation to their board of directors, and complete "C suite" was received positively with verbal confirmation that it was time for them to take mitigation steps against the increasing risk of Advanced Persistent threats.

Client-company specializes in remote surveillance technology. Client-company's main product is being used to secure NATO and EU borders.
Our team evaluated "go-to market" strategies in private sector verticals (i.e., oil & gas, electric, transportation, etc.). The project goals were to recommend strategies for product, marketing, regulatory, and channels to enter into new markets. We advised Client-company on how should they price their new offering.
Client-company CEO and team engaged with our team in several discovery and requirements gathering, and design interviews. The team produced product enhancements and a road map to enhance their revenue sources from a one-time product sale to a subscription "Surveillance-as-a-Service" based model.
We successfully delivered a solution Client-company evaluated as desirable for their growth plans. We were able to respond effectively to their Chief Technology Officer's questions about our solution architecture, operations, marketing, and pricing model.
