    IT Empowerment for Her provides girls of all ages with basic programming skills, student and professional mentors, and STEM career exploration.

    After noticing a lack of a girls-only STEM (Science-Technology-Engineering-Math) program run by actual girls interested in STEM, I decided to introduce a new initiative to the Dallas-Fort Worth area. IT Empowerment for Her empowers DFW girls through opportunities, skill programs, mentorship, and an introduction to STEM careers, with a focus on Informational Technology (IT) and Computer Science (CS). Currently, the organization collaborates with the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) and the National Center of Women & Informational Technology (NCWIT) to bring free programs to middle school girls from underrepresented areas.
