IBM announced the availability of IBM Copilot Runway, a new offering from IBM Consulting designed to help enterprises create, customize, deploy and manage copilots including Copilot for Microsoft 365. With the new offering, clients will be able to seamlessly integrate copilots' generative AI into their organizations in order to enhance productivity and drive business success. IBM Consulting has also formed a dedicated practice of consultants with Microsoft copilot skills, credentials and expertise to guide clients on their AI transformation journey. As part of the new offering, IBM will work with clients to build custom copilots that can be tailored to fit the needs of specific business scenarios and efficiently deployed to help reduce the time and effort often required for implementations. IBM will initially focus on helping clients across priority use cases, including customer and field service, employee experience, and procurement and finance – as well as specific industries, like financial services, retail and CPG, government, and supply chain. These use cases will include:

Many of us in the technology industry have connections to India either because our organizations have a strong presence in Indian cities, or we originally come from India. Over the past several years, I have traveled to India multiple times in a year. It's amazing to see how the country has evolved and continues to progress. Like most executives, my trips back to India are whirlwind experiences that take me to many cities and towns across the country. While India now has more airports and flights than it did a few decades ago, I've always wished for a reliable way to make the last leg of my trip, such as airport transfers or inter-city travel to the final destination. I came across Gozo Cabs (www.gozocabs.com) many years ago and was impressed by their service, nationwide coverage, and overall reliability. Many of my friends and colleagues have used Gozo's services when visiting India and found them very impressive. Inter-city ground transportation is a unique need in large and growing geographies like India, and they have done a commendable job of addressing this market-specific need with a product that ranges from affordable to high-end comfort. Through mutual connections, I have gotten to know the team and have been advising them for the last few years. Building a technology-powered consumer service and to consistently provide a solid consumer experience is a complex challenge. However, I believe this team has done an excellent job of offering pan-Indian services. I highly recommend trying Gozo's services whenever you need ground transportation in India for your outstation or airport transfer trips.

"The artificial intelligence market is like an iceberg." -- to hear  IBM Chairman and CEO Arvind Krishna tell it -- writes Wade Tyler Millward on The Channel Company. For now, most vendors and users are attracted by the use cases above the surface—using text generators to write emails and image generators to make art, for example. But it’s the enterprise AI market below the surface that IBM wants to serve with its partners, Krishna told CRN in a recent interview. And Krishna’s mandate that [ IBM ] reach 50 percent of its revenue from the channel over the next two to three years is key to reaching that hidden treasure. “This is a massive market,” said Krishna. “When I look at all the estimates … the numbers are so big that it is hard for most people to comprehend them. … That tells you that there is a lot of opportunity for a large number of us.” Krishna’s mandate for IBM to work more closely with partners has implications for IBM’s product plans. “Any new product has to be channel-friendly,” Krishna said. “I can’t think of one product I would want to build or bring to market unless we could also give it to the channel.
