You're in charge of choosing a vendor. What are the most important things to consider?
There is a direct link between the clarity of your RFP and quality of responses/proposals. The RFP can be a great asset in identifying where you may have gaps in your understanding or requirements that would generate large differences in scoping/service assumptions being made by vendors. If you find yourself in this situation, you may be well served to take a step back and close out the necessary key decisions or research in order to finalize your requirements. It is crucial that organizations are allocating adequate time for RFP development and internal reviews.

You're in charge of choosing a vendor. What are the most important things to consider?
From a Systems Implementation perspective, there are several key considerations to keep in mind, including: 1.) Vendors Industry Experience: This can be a critical factor in your selection, especially when there are gaps with OTB options or typical configuration 2.) Work completed in Referral Testimonials: For example, AMS support and Implementation work can be very different and require different skillsets. 3.) Resource Availability: How deep is the vendors bench, will they have the needed resources and capacity to support your project?

You're in charge of choosing a vendor. What are the most important things to consider?
As part of your vendor selection process, your team will be evaluating the proposals that they have submitted. Therefore, an important step to ensuring equitable and comparable responses is to eliminate assumption variability. This is achieved by ensuring that you understand and can clearly articulate your project requirements. Additionally, this would be a perfect opportunity to identify current pain points and improvement areas in order to solicit suggestions from vendors. Their approaches to your most critical problems can be a very powerful evaluation criteria.
