$2.3 Billion Spent with Diverse Businesses - 2013 PG&E Supplier Diversity Record. For more than three decades, PG&E has been committed to creating a robust supplier diversity program. We know that doing business with companies and individuals who reflect the diversity of our customers is a key component of our success. In 2013, PG&E reached new heights with diverse businesses,
spending more than $2.3 billion or more than 42.1 percent of its procurement base with diverse business enterprises (DBEs). DEBs are helping PG&E improve the quality of our supply chain and deliver innovative solutions. These companies are helping us every day to deliver safe, reliable and
affordable service to our customers. For eleven consecutive years, PG&E has exceeded the California Public Utilities Commission minority, woman and disabled veteran goal of 21.5 percent. PG&E’s continued supplier diversity growth reinforces the company’s commitment to DBEs and the economic development of the communities it serves. The 2013 supplier diversity spend record belongs to all PG&E employees, and places PG&E among a very select group of corporations who have the best supplier diversity programs in the
    United States.
